Caffeinated Goodness

The following offerings are the real deal. Fair-trade, organic, finely roasted and caffeinated! We do have decaf below too...

Grade 1, special prep, natural process. It doesn't get better than this!

  • Tasting notes: Strawberry, orange and cocoa finish

  • Altitude: 1,900-2,200 meters

  • Location: Guji, Alaka District, Oromia Region

  • Drying: Sun-dried on raised beds

  • Info on the farm: Harvested and grown by METAD Agricultural Development PLC. They are a family owned business that operates the Hambela Coffee Estate. METAD strives to strengthen the local community with employment opportunities (such as a workforce that is seventy percent women), educational opportunities (including sponsorship for a state-of-the art elementary school with more than three hundred students), and medical support (featuring a partnership with Grounds for Health to implement cervical cancer screening for women in the community). METAD provides technical assistance and shares modern farming equipment with other local farmers. METAD also has the first SCAA certified quality control lab in Africa, used to train both domestic and international coffee professionals.

Our organic Sumatra is earthy, sweet, and bold. Low acidity and medium body make this perfect for cold brew, espresso shots, and great in a french press.

  • Location: Takengon, Aceh, Sumatra

  • Altitude: 1,220-1,524 meters

  • Drying: Patio sun-dried

  • Highlights: Certified Organic and Fair Trade. Grown by a women-run cooperative. The passion and commitment of the women managers to have all members working together in support of coffee production has enabled Ketiara to expand and become an important supplier to larger coffee traders in Medan, the capital of North Sumatra. The cooperative members voted to become Organic and Fair Trade certified in 2012, making a commitment to use these proceeds to create programs for health, education, and public infrastructure projects that will benefit all coop members.

A rare gem among specialty coffees!

  • Tasting notes: Baker's chocolate, vanilla and syrup. Very low acidity

  • Location: Sipi Falls area of Mount Elgon, on an extinct shield volcano that lies on the border of Uganda and Kenya

  • Drying: Sun-dried on raised beds

  • Highlights: Certified Organic, Rainforest Alliance (RFA) approved, and UTZ certified. Fully Washed, shade grown, and hand picked.

A fantastic coffee for true coffee lovers! This has splendid notes.

  • Tasting notes: Dark chocolate, caramel, creamy.

  • Location: Huehuetenango, Guatemala

  • Altitude: 1,650 meters

  • Drying: Sun-dried on raised beds

  • Certifications: Organic, shade grown, fair trade

  • Highlights: Located in a region surrounded by the Cuchumantanes mountains and the Maxbal Forest Reserve. This coffee is grown under guava, plantain, and banana trees. These local farmers promote sustainable agriculture by training its workers in organic production methods, investment in infrastructure, and operating their own warehouses and drying patios.

Back for a limited time is our acclaimed Bourbon Barrel Coffee. Aged in The Winter Park Distillery's award winning Bear Gully Classic Reserve bourbon barrels to perfection. We then slow-roast each bag by hand to bring out amazing flavors.

The following offerings are natural decaf offerings. The best way to decaffeinate coffee is all natural, water processed with no chemicals.
